Was Alderman Coleman’s Office Broken Into or Was Her Staff Negligent?

Alderman Stephanie Coleman of a 16th Ward perceived a bizarre phone call early Saturday afternoon, Dec. 18, 2020. The call was to surprise her that her office, located during 5411 S. Ashland in Chicago, was not secure.

Guardian Liberty Voice perceived information from a citizen that Coleman’s bureau had been burglarized given a front embankment was not locked, and a front doorway of a bureau was unbarred as well. Once reporters arrived on a scene, they beheld that a embankment and front doorway were open, lights were out, and no staff members were present. They fast dialed 911 to ask military presence.

When CPD officers arrived, they entered a bureau to transparent it. After a prolonged ten-minute wait, an officer came out and sensitive reporters:

Nothing looks missing, They have laptops sitting there that could have been taken easily, and a behind doorway deadlock was left open. We sealed adult — though something is not right here.

The reporters reached out to Ald. Coleman’s mother, former-Alderman Shirley Coleman, and suggested her of a situation. While still on a phone with her, Ald. Coleman’s Chief of Staff pulled up, placed a vast china clinch on a gate, and left.

After he left, a reporters discussed how peculiar it was that an alderman’s office’s doors were presumably left open accidentally. Was Alderman Coleman being set adult to be burglarized? Or is there a critical confidence emanate with her staff?
